Creating content on social media with my iMusician-distributed music

Hi,
I Have two related questions:

  1. We’ve just released our new album (distributed by iMusician). We had a release party and then published a reel with videos from the event but with audio from our album. Turns out this reel has been deemed infringing the rights that belong to iMusician. I have not monetized it. It is just a few seconds long and I think I ought to be able to make such short videos without problems. I contested the infringement but my contest was rejected !!! What can I do ? How can I create more social media content with my own music but without problems ?

  2. Similar thing happened on a youtube video. My band shot a video for one song and I put it on youtube, not public yet. That video has been deemed infringing the rights. I have no problem with imUisican owning the rights (and redistributing the revenue to us) but how can I ensure the video is not blocked ?

Hey @Triboc, thanks for reaching out!

  1. You cannot use licensed music for everything on Meta. I’ll let you read their music terms of use here: https://www.facebook.com/help/instagram/402084904469945

  2. That’s correct, you cannot monetise your music on YouTube because we’re already doing it for you. If you’re using copyrighted content in your video, it doesn’t block it. It just lets you know that you cannot monetise it as the revenue goes to us
