Spotify Stream Count Reset After Re-Release

I have a follow-up question regarding my previous Spotify artist reassignment case.

The DistroKid release has now been removed, and the iMusician release is live. However, I noticed that the public Spotify play count for “Me n My Choppa” changed from approximately 7 million streams to about 55,000 streams.

Could you please confirm whether this is expected while Spotify is still processing the artist profile reassignment, or if the original Spotify play count should eventually be preserved once the reassignment is complete?

I just want to make sure this is normal and that no stream history has been permanently lost.

I think that when changing music distributors, your Spotify stream history and total play counts will remain intact only if you use the exact same ISRC codes and matching metadata.
