Adding permission to use my music

Hello. I would like to give a specific YouTube channel permission to use my music in its livestreams and videos without any monetization issues. It is the YouTube channel of a community where I serve as an administrator.

The music release they use in their videos and broadcasts with catalog number “HF 003”

Hello @volt3ron,

Unfortunately YouTube is getting stricter with their allowlisting policies. If you’re an artist, only the channel related to your music can be allowlisted. Other channels cannot.

I’m sorry but we won’t be able to process your request.

Best,

Hi Carlos,
Thanks for the clarification.
I’m a little confused by this because I am the artist and copyright owner, and I have explicitly authorized this YouTube channel to use my music, including in monetized videos and livestreams. I’m also one of the administrators of this channel.
I checked YouTube’s current Content ID documentation, and it appears to explicitly support allowlisting authorized third-party channels.
In “Exempt channels from Content ID claims,” YouTube even gives the example of a rights holder allowlisting another channel that reviews and promotes its content:
“For example, a movie studio might not want to claim videos from a channel that reviews and promotes its films.”
YouTube’s documentation for livestreams is even more explicit:
“If you’ve licensed third-party content to use in your stream, ask the owner of the content to add your channel to their allowlist through Content ID.”
This seems to describe our situation directly: I own the music and have authorized this channel to use it.
I understand that YouTube may have recently changed something or that there may be additional restrictions applicable to iMusician’s Content ID account. If that’s the case, could you please point me to the relevant YouTube policy or explain what restriction prevents you from submitting this channel for allowlisting?
If submitting the request is still technically possible but YouTube may reject it, I would prefer that we submit the allowlist request and let YouTube make that determination.
Thank you.

These are policies that were communicated to us by the platform directly. Again, I’m really sorry but we won’t be able to help you here.

Best,
