I am the holder of a trademark for the band name Chameleon Project and variations of. I have occupied this tradmark since 2003. The band Chameleon Project is from Toronto Canada and have several releases and a deep live touring history.
It has come to my attention that an artist distributed by iMusician is infriging on my trademark. A new release has appeared (in 2025) on Spotify and Apple Music by an artist called “The Chameleon Project”. My team has done research and it is clear this is an AI creation. There is no digital footprint for this band/artist or the uploader Brian Cannell. No web-site, no social media, no gigs noithing.
So we have two issues. 1. This artist name is infringing on the trademark I have occupied since 2003 and 2. This is an AI created artist and it is not listed as such, which is required by all platforms like Spotify and Apple Music which makes this work in violation of terms of service for both platforms.
Before I reach out to the individual platforms and issue takedown notices and inforce my trademark I wanted to reach out to iMusician first to come to a mutual agreement to either take down the works or chaneg the name and labelled them as AI created.
I woudl like to speak to Noelia Stocker and/or Maxence Moravcik on the matter. Please direct me and pass this info on to them.

Josh Laing
