Back catalogue transfer


I would like to advise iMusician that I am changing distributor before my next release and I need them to accept the incoming transfer of my back catalogue from Proton Soundsystem.

That’s great news, we’re super happy that you’re considering redistributing your music with us :slight_smile:

To begin with, please contact your current distributor and ask them to take down your releases from all platforms, since moving your content while it’s online is not possible. Afterwards, you can re-create the releases with us.

Very important: When doing so, don’t forget to use the same ISRC Codes and Barcodes (EAN/UPC) so your tracks can keep all their statistics such as streams, downloads and playlist entries.

Thanks for your answer. Maybe I was not clear:

I want to change from iMusician TO Proton, so I no longer will be distributing music via iMusician, but via Proton.

I just need you to accept the transfer of my back catalogue when you receive the request from Proton for my label. So we can coordinate the transfer and there will be no downtime for my music online.

That wasn’t clear indeed :grimacing:

If you’re moving to another distributor all you have to do is make sure to take down all the content you distributed with us (and all CID monetization) and wait the 2-4 weeks for the process to be completed before re-releasing your tracks with Proton.
