Beatport release questions

Hi.

I’m trying to complete my beatport only release using imusician label. I’ve filled in all the categories but the Tracks category is showing a red exclamation mark implying something isn’t filled out correctly.

The only field I haven’t filled/added is the contributor field because it’s an electronic dance track just produced by me , no other person contributed.
Do I still need to add my own name to this section or can I just leave it blank?

Also question about ISRC. Ive got the same song releasing on another distributor for the same release date to all platforms except Beatport as they don’t provide beatport release. Will you assign an ISRC code to my imusician beatport release. Can the same song have two different ISRC codes if it’s being released using two different distributors…in my case imusician for beatport and the other distributor for all other platforms.

Good question - your issue of distribution a song for all platforms (except Beatport) in another distributor and once again only on Beatport with iMusician. I tag the iMusician support @Melani and @Carlos to answer you.

For myself, I have distributed on Beatport with the iMusician label in the past with success and now I distribute with my own label.

Hey @Chrism,

  1. The contributors field is mandatory regardless of the musical genre. If you wish to finalize your order, you’ll have to fill it in.

  2. Yes, once you pay for the order both an EAN barcode and a ISRC codes will be assigned. It’s possible for a track to have different ISRC codes as long as it’s on different platforms (you cannot have different ISRC codes for a same track on the same platform).
