Cannot release an album on imusician: "This audio file has already been used"

Hi Team

we are new to imusician, and are trying to release our first album on it , in time for our concert next weekend
(iMusician)

While trying to do this, we cannot get passed the tracks tab.

Our tracks tab has a red triangle, and the message “This audio file has already been used” beneath each song. Could you please let us know how to properly publish this ? Thank you very much

hi @bar19 I guess you have already used the audio? in this case you have to load it from the library instead of uploading it :v:

HI,
I have tried:

  1. deleting all the tracks from the release
  2. then including from the library,

and still get the same error message for all tracks (“This audio file has already been used”)

This is the only release that uses these tracks, so am confused…
Would really appreciate guidance

Thanks
Ken

Let’s ask @Carlos and @Melani from the iMusician Team to take a deeper look at this :v:

Hi
I ended up tweaking some tracks on my laptop and re-uploading them (so imusician would not recognise them as the same as any earlier uploads) and now it works. Still not sure what the problem is/was with the older song versions (that were refernced only once, but still reporting “already been used”… ) but for now I can proceed with this approach. :). Thanks

Hey @bar19, thanks for the troubleshoot. However, the error happens when the audio file has already been placed in your track library. Therefore, instead of uploading it again from your computer, you can click on the Import from your Library button.

The system recognizes that there is already that exact audio file, maybe make sure that you did not upload it on a previous time.

Best regards,
