Cash credit not paid / conversion to promotional credit

I am writing to you regarding the handling of cash credits on my iMusician account. I’m really not satisfied with this policy

It has come to my attention that cash credits that have remained unused for over a year have been automatically converted into promotional credits without my knowledge or explicit consent !

In accordance with the contractual terms and the principles of good faith in contract performance:

  • You cannot unilaterally change the terms of the contract; therefore, please confirm that the automatic conversion of cash credits into promotional credits without written consent does not constitute a unilateral modification of the contractual terms and specify where this practice is provided for in the General Terms and Conditions of Sale.

  • These earnings are mine, and I demand to be paid these royalties in full in cash. I will not allow you to fraudulently allocate them to yourselves. In accordance with the principle that an acquired monetary credit constitutes a sum due and payable, please specify on what legal or contractual basis this credit is automatically converted into promotional credit.

  • Artists’ streaming revenue is already low enough without adding these kinds of underhanded tactics. Please clarify, with reference to the exact clause in your Terms and Conditions, your policy regarding the handling of unused credit balances after one year, and specify the applicable law and jurisdiction for any disputes concerning these credits.

  • If you do not pay my earnings, I will obviously transfer everything to TuneCore and will make it known.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Hey @nanawel

If you do not log into your account during a full calendar year, your cash credit will automatically be converted to promo credit, which you can still use for any further purchase on our platform and to reinvest into your music.

This conversion has been done in accordance with our terms of service. All your earnings have been paid to your iMusician account. The withdrawal of the available revenue within the time allocated by our T&Cs is your responibility.

It wasnt the policy when I start using your services. This is lacking transparency, and you dont send mails to prevent us if we forget connecting to our account before you convert the credits. Its a trap and a way for you to gain more money on the back of your artists. But then maybe artists are gonna turn their back to your services.
