Change of a distributor

Hello,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out because I’m considering switching to your distribution service.

I’m currently working with another distributor, but they require an annual subscription, which no longer fits my needs. My goal is to gather all the songs I’ve already released into a single album and distribute it through your platform.

Since I don’t plan on releasing any new music for quite some time, I’m looking for a solution that would allow me to pay a one-time fee for this release instead of renewing an annual subscription.

Could you please let me know if this is possible with your service and explain the process for transferring my catalog?

Based on what you’ve described, I believe our Rockstar plan would be the best fit for your needs. Since you’re planning to release a single album and don’t expect to distribute new music for a while, Rockstar lets you pay once per release, with no annual subscription and 0% commission on your royalties. Your release also stays online forever (there are no recurring fees to keep it available on streaming platforms). You can find more details here.

As for transferring your catalog, the process is straightforward:

  • Create your album in your iMusician account using the same metadata as your existing release.
