We are a small record label. After three years of preparing our material, we chose iMusician as our official distributor. However, our contact at iMusician has been unable to resolve a couple of issues.
The Orchard distributed some of our productions without authorization, but we managed to remove their distribution from the entire network. Years ago, YouTube assigned the CID of one of our productions to The Orchard, which they have since removed. On September 17, we officially released the production through iMusician for the first time. Since then, we have been asking our contact at iMusician to confirm that the CID is working for us and that revenue is no longer being channeled to The Orchard.
On October 5, 2024, we scheduled our second release. Unfortunately, there was a serious error in the title of one of the tracks. The error has been corrected in iMusician’s library, but all platforms where it was distributed still display the incorrect title, which does not resemble a proper song title.
How can we request to be assigned a different contact person at iMusician to resolve these issues?
hi @Eneroscu first of all, that’s how you can change your distribution:
if this doesn’t solve your problem, do you have a free or an amplify plan? if you have Amplify please just contact the support from there and your issues will be solved. If you have a free plan please post the EAN barcode of the release and the Team will take a look at your issue,
best, Andi
We are a small record label with the Amplify+ plan, and the problem is that our assigned contact at iMusician is not resolving the issues.
In summary: After 2 months, we have made no progress and need a different representative from iMusician with more knowledge who can understand and solve the issues. How can we request to be assigned a different support person at iMusician?
Hello @Eneroscu, thanks for reaching out! I checked the history of your conversations and we only recall one inquiry about a modification that we replied to send the link over as it was expired.
Since then, we did not receive any response from your team.
Please do note that we only work during week days on specific hours and if inquiries are received outside the working hours, it is our priority to respond on the first working day. I can not see any critics here as we worked as usual to support in the best way our artists and labels.
We will be waiting for the link once again, if you still want to proceed with the change.
Thanks for your collaboration and have a great day!
Thank you for your attention. You mentioned an audio substitution that has already been resolved and is now correct (EAN 4069493049435) (ISRC-ES63S2400010). However, during this process, the track title published on all platforms is incorrect: “Sub-Ex *** error (replace oceano version)”.
The other issue, which remains unresolved, pertains to the release EAN 4069493044836. Track 01 (ISRC ES63S2400002) from this release was illegally distributed by The Orchard, and our lawyer has already ensured that its publication was removed from all platforms. However, YouTube’s CID appears to have some confusion identifying iMusician, and as a result, it may still be processing royalties for The Orchard.
There are two reasons why we suspect the CID is not working correctly for this track:
The copyright claim we received for a video on our own channel continues to identify the entity that was illegally exploiting our production, “Metrophon Music Spain S.L.”, and does not reference “iMusician Digital AG” anywhere.
We are unsure if this is the appropriate place to resolve these matters, or if we should continue using the ticket system. However, we kindly request a different contact person with whom we can communicate and make progress in resolving these issues.
