I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “it sends me back to my old one”. Have you received a new Artist URI ?
To answer your question, it is not possible to “delete” an artist profile. If you want to migrate all your releases to your new artist profile, you will have to request a takedown of the releases, wait 2-4 weeks for the procedure to be completed and then re-create the releases with your new artist name.
