Hi there :)I’m a new artist and a new member of iMusician. Today I’ve submitted my first single here named BLUEHOUR.
My ‘original release date’ is 15th May 2025, can this instead be reflected on for instance AppleMusic or Spotify etc, rather than the actual digitally available date?
Also if you guys aren’t too occupied, can the digital release date be changed to 18th Aug 2025? Considering that I’ve had open submissions since 3-4 days ago; I meant to choose 18th Aug, but as I ‘paid’ today, it suddenly says my release date will be 20th Aug 2025.
Since it’s my first time ever with iMusician & the 1st release, will you guys please exempt this case and kindly be generous as a nice gesture?
When I typed in my artist name, it said it’s similar to some existing artists’, although I’ve checked beforehand on apple music or spotify, there weren’t no exact same names (capital/lower cases applied). Then there was a tiny message saying below ‘use existing artist’, which was the only option. Please don’t just add my original music onto someone else’s profile, I don’t have any artist page yet on any music app/website.
→ The attribution of your music to artist profiles is done automatically by the DSPs, usually based on your artist name. Even if there are no “exact” matches, close homonyms are sufficient for the shops to get confused. Unfortunately we cannot prevent this from happening as it’s out of our hands, but you can always let us know if you see anything unusual on release day.
I’ve received emails saying my song has been pitched to Spotify now waiting to be released. However there seem to be a major problem: I’ve made sure multiple times that the song title is all-capital letters & no space in-between as “BLUEHOUR”. But it seems it’d be going up as ‘Bluehour’, which I’m very confused about & frustrated! Please can you guys fix this issue for me ASAP?
And during the ordering process, there were no fields to indicate my ‘original release date’ other than the sale starting date. I just really want to make sure the ‘release date’ goes up the same as 15th May 2025 on every music sites (Apple Music, Spotify, Melon etc); or if it only can be future dates, at least as 18th Aug 2025 please.
+If I were to request a change through my dashboard, I’d have to make double payments, which doesn’t sound fair
All caps titles are unfortunately not in line with the stylistic guidelines of the shops you selected, therefore this change was necessary. We cannot distribute your release with the title BLUEHOUR.
Yes there is a dedicated field for this. You most likely simply missed it:
I’m sorry that you feel like it isn’t fair for you to pay for the modification, but that’s the policy for Starter users. You can subscribe to our AMPLIFY+ or AMPLIFY pro plans if you want this option to be included.
