Distributor switch to iMusician but also keeping old one

Hi!
I’m thinking about switching to iMusician, since you distribute also to some specialists in classical music. I’m worried though about taking things down from my former distributor, since some connections took very long time to organize. And I don’t want to be off from the plattforms during the switch, and also keeping the (quite few but still) followers I have. Also I would like to try iMusician first before switching in total.

Therefore: Is it possible to keep some releases on my old distributor (CDBaby) while trying a new release with iMusician?

And what happens to my logins and connections to my artist profile on the different plattforms (mainly Spotify, Youtube, Amazon, Apple Music and Tidal)?

Before I have gone through CDBaby to change some connections with albums and tracks that are wrongly put to my profile or should be added, or something else that needs to be corrected. How will this work if I have 2 distributors?
And how does it work with only iMusician?

If this works and I want to change also my earlier material to iMusician, how does this work?

Hey @MickeAxel, thank you for reaching out

  1. Yes, you can keep you current releases online with CDBaby and use our service to try and distribute a new release!
  2. If you enter your metadata consistently (especially your artist name), streaming platforms will now where to assign your music. You can also link your artist name to your Spotify and Apple Music profiles directly from your dashboard: Release On The Correct Artist Profile | iMusician
  3. If you notice that your music landed on the wrong profile or that someone else’s music landed on yours, you can always reach out to us and we’ll send a request to the shops so they fix it :+1:
  4. If you wish to move your whole catalogue from CDBaby to us, you can refer to this page that explains how to do it: Distributor Switch | iMusician

Hope this answers your questions!
