To give you a break from answering to distribution problems, maybe you can help me with a question on music genre.
Since my lyrics are mostly personal and social critique, fans are asking if it’s comedy. Sure, I’m okay with that. For categorization purposes, do you know if comedy in music form has its own separate genre or is it so rare that it’s distributed by the music genre that best fits the sound?
For example, I put Metal vocals to Hard Rock or Metal music with comedy lyrics.
Do I continue to distribute it as Metal or should I search for “Comedy” or “Humour” as a genre, kind of like “Soundtrack” is its own thing?
