Editorial playlist pitching with AMPLIFY+

Hi,

I’m considering using the AMPLIFY+ plan for the debut release of a new artist project, and I’d like to clarify exactly how the editorial playlist pitching service works.

From the information on your website, I understand that releases are reviewed by your team and that selected releases may then be pitched to DSP editorial teams. Could you please clarify:

  • Is every eligible release distributed through AMPLIFY+ reviewed by your team for possible editorial pitching, or does the artist need to submit/request consideration separately?
  • If a release is selected, do you pitch it directly to the editorial teams at platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and Amazon Music?
  • Can we provide supporting information about the project and campaign — press materials, music video/film, promotional campaign, previous achievements, etc. — to help your team evaluate the release?
  • Is a debut release from a completely new artist/project eligible for this service, even if the artist doesn’t yet have existing DSP profiles or streaming history?
  • Our planned release date is 19 November 2026 . Would there be sufficient time to distribute the release, create/claim the new artist profiles and have the track considered for editorial pitching?
  • Are there any additional charges for editorial pitching, or is this fully included in the AMPLIFY+ subscription?

The project already has a full promotional campaign planned around the release, so I would particularly like to understand whether AMPLIFY+ could realistically provide editorial pitching support for a new artist within this timeframe.

Thank you.

Best,

Hello @FunkyFreshhh,

You must select this option when you’re creating the order and only tracks that are not included in previous releases can be selected for ptiching .

Yes. Then the editorial curators decide whether or not it’s good enough to be added to their playlist.

If your track is selected and we decide to forward it to Editorial curators, you will receive a form to fill out all this information. Once it’s done, our team will forward the track to the curators.

Yes, but first releases are known for hitting roadblocks (e.g. metadata errors, artist profile mapping issues, etc). It usually serves as a way to get access to DSP features and set the groundwork for the next releases (e.g. claiming artist profiles). Then, once everything’s set up, you usually start doing actual promotion on your second release, including pitching.

I would not recommend pitching the artist’s first release, as mentionned above.

It’s included in AMPLIFY+.
