Hi together,
I have a released album and want to exchange one track of it. Is it possible to remove an existing track from an album and to add a new one?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards Mathias

hi @MathiasWehr , I’m forwarding your question to @Carlos from the Team
Hey @MathiasWehr,
No it’s not possible to remove a track from a release that’s already online
@Carlos Thanks for the reply! Will the listened tracks still be payed out when we delete the album in order to release it new and correct again?
@Carlos Also another question to this topics, I just wanted to add the album again with all tracks and the platform sais I can not add the audio because it already exist. So I selected all tracks from my library (okd album) except the one I wanted to exchange.
What happens now when I remove the old album with the one wrong track? Will the tracks then still exist in the new album?
Yes of course. All royalties generated and validated by the DSPs up until the day of the takedown will be paid out.
Don’t recreate the tracks, they’re already in your library. Simply add them by clicking on Include from library and make sure to leave out the track you wanted to remove from the album. Once you’ve done that, you can finalise your order.
Thanks for that reply. I did so, but now got an email from Imusician that the tracks are now doubled and the release is now possible. I planned to delete the old album when the new is released so that is continuously available.
When I now agree the request by the team to delete the online version, will this be directly deleted, or will there be a smooth transition that the old album is only deleted when the new is released and the tracks are “always” without a gab available?
You can validate our team’s request and, in parallel, request the takedown of the previous release (this takes 2-4 weeks to be effective).
