Existing Beatport Label Transfer from Ditto to iMusician

Hello,

I’m the owner of Mo Sounds, an independent electronic music label with an existing approved Beatport label page currently associated with Ditto Music.

I’m considering moving our Beatport distribution to iMusician and have a completed four-track Breaks EP ready for release.

Before subscribing, I’d like to confirm:

  1. Can iMusician take over distribution for our existing Beatport label page from Ditto?
  2. Can the transfer be initiated by iMusician, and what would you need from me?
  3. Can we distribute this release exclusively to Beatport?
  4. What is the realistic turnaround time once everything is submitted?
  5. Can we begin with this release without transferring our existing catalog?

Thanks Carlos, I appreciate the quick response. This definitely sounds promising.

By turnaround time, I mainly mean how long the Beatport label transfer typically takes once you initiate it, and roughly how soon after that I could get a release delivered to Beatport.

I already have music ready to go, so I’m hoping to make the transition as smoothly and quickly as possible.

I’d also like to know what subscription or plan I would need in order to do this and whether the label transfer can be started before submitting a release.

If some of this is better discussed privately with Artist & Label Relations, I’m happy to continue the conversation there.

Hey @MoSounds,

The timeline can vary, but usually label transfers are processed within a week or two. You don’t need a specific plan to do this, but we would recommend AMPLIFY+ as it includes a custom label name.

Thanks again for your help. I’ve now subscribed to AMPLIFY+ and I’m ready to move forward with transferring my existing Mo Sounds Beatport label to iMusician.
