Guitar Improvisation

Is it possible to make money if you are able to improvise like Jimi Hendrix, Santana, Al Di Meola, Satriani, Steve Vai or Stevie Ray Vaughane or Michael Angelo Batio? Or is there an actual challenge once you learned how to play that enables you to earn money? What do other guitarists do? How do you determine which ones get to be the top 10? Is it character or appearance?

Also why does nobody care about classical music on guitars? Do I have to be a woman to find an audience? When I was a kid I was told that classical music is difficult… but I just don’t see it anymore… nothing makes sense somehow. Noone ever cares no matter what I play.

hi @leechmasterb , in my opinion it takes in fact another challange: you need to be discovered, maybe you can play live gigs, play on festivals, form cover bands and so on

Sure @Andi Streaming Links: Emanuel Emil Sebastian Hediger someone damaged some of the recordings though but the videos and the notes still show what it is I suppose. The most recent things are at the bottom of the soundcloud discography playlist. Youtube or Spotify or Audiomack show more of the more recent things…

hi @leechmasterb I see what you mean, there is a lot of psychedelic impro going on and I understand that it is not a music for the wide audience. maybe you could try to work some theme out into a more structured song that can be reproduced and which can be recognized by your audience. I don’t mean it should not have your characteristic dissonant sound but that it can be played in different occasions and be recognized as exactly that song. That’s obviously just my thought and if it helps good, otherwise, please just ignore it and keep on rockin’ :v:
