Hi ho.

I want to start a music label for AI created music that is still mastered by me as producer.

Please don’t hurt me. But AI is here to stay, so the music industry has to adapt like they did when the new electronic instruments came out in the 70s. And making music with AI is still not as easy as it looks if you have high quality standards. It always takes time, money and passion to make good music with AI.

So I’m planning to create a label to release albums of different styles of music I’ve created, but I want to have it separated by artist.

As an example (dummy names):
Label: Alpine418 Records

Artists: Random Band Name
Music Style: Rock, Surf Rock
Album: Album example 1, Album example 2

Artist: Not Another Dummy Band
Music Style: Country
Album: Album example 3, Album example 4

Being Swiss, I like to support products made in Switzerland. So after some research I decided to subscribe to AMPLIFY+ (for 5 artists). But first I need some answers to my questions below.

  • Is it allowed to release AI created music through iMusician?
  • What are the requirements to register and use my own label through iMusician?
  • Will I still get my revenue if I cancel my subscription later?

This is a missed opportunity imo. Currently not many distributors are supporting AI created music yet.
