Hello,
my name is Nahom and I’m glad to be part of this community. I have deeply searched the internet for the best music distributor in the industry. Although it’s very rare, I’ve come across imusician as potentially being the most suitable. I currently represent an East African artist who has over 50 years of music and nearly 15 albums in his tenure. In the country of Ethiopia, him and plenty of artists all use CDBaby because it is the most trusted. However, I don’t see it that way and we’re not getting a good deal.
I’ve researched well about this company and I’m interested and concerned about how the company will handle the artist’s catalog. The demographic currently using imusician are predominantly European. I also noticed there is only a team of nine in the company even though it’s been around since 2006. I have dug for independent reviews of the use of this service on youtube and other platforms but it is scarce. With all this being said, how can this company support the catalog of an East African artist with the mentioned concerning facts? Also, migration may also be an issue and although I read that there are steady steps to do that, how can imusician guarentee we can keep the views and streams the artist has garnered over the 5 years it’s been posted?
I would love to hear your thoughts on this from people far and wide about your experiences as well. Thanks
