I am a musician currently residing in Iran and I am planning to use your annual subscription plan (AMPLIFY) to distribute my music.
Before I sign up and make a payment, could you please clarify the following:
Does iMusician provide distribution services to artists who are legally residing in Iran?
Can I register with an Iranian address, phone number, and ID information, and release my music on Spotify and other platforms?
Most importantly: Since Iran is under OFAC sanctions, and options like cryptocurrency and Wise are not available to Iranian residents, how will I receive my royalties? Is there any practical method for paying artists in Iran?
I am an independent artist looking for a transparent and professional partner. I would appreciate your detailed guidance.
I completely understand the payout methods you mentioned (Bank Transfer with IBAN and PayPal). However, as I mentioned earlier, both of these options are unfortunately not accessible to artists living in Iran due to banking restrictions and sanctions.
So, I just have one final practical question, and I’d be truly grateful if you could guide me on this:
Would it be against your terms or policies if I use a trusted friend’s or collaborator’s bank account or PayPal (based outside of Iran) to receive my royalties on my behalf?
what is your recommended or practical solution for an artist in my situation to receive their royalties?
This is quite common for artists in restricted regions, and I just want to make sure I’m following your rules correctly before I move forward with signing up and paying for my subscription.
We understand the situation @Amrn. On our end, the payouts can only be processed as explained in the sources I’ve referred you to.
If you’re able to arrange internally with someone that can receive the payouts on your behalf, that’s fine Just know that we will not bear any responsbility over agreements you make with third parties.
Thank you for your previous response. I just wanted to kindly follow up regarding the recent international regulatory changes, specifically the suspension of General License G.
Since iMusician is a technology-based distribution platform, I wanted to ask directly:
Have these recent regulatory changes (General License G suspension) affected your workflow or policies regarding artists residing in Iran?
Also, just to understand your general approach better:
Is iMusician’s overall mission to support independent artists from all around the world, regardless of where they are based?
I’m an independent artist seriously considering purchasing the Amplify+ subscription, and I want to make sure I fully understand your stance before committing.
