Legit streams removed by Spotify

Hi there,

I worked with an established promotion agency that uses META/SPOTIFY ads and earned about 15k streams via these ads. Spotify decided that these were artificial streams and removed about 90% of them. My promotion agency doesn’t understand either and is trying to do what is necessary on their side.

I contacted Spotify Support at their request and they don’t want to do anything and ask me to go through you. I would like to access phone support please, I would pay the amount needed, I’m tired of running my “music business” against these thieves, I need direct support by phone. Please tell me how to do this, I didn’t pay for it at the time of the initial order.

Regards,

WØLZT

Hello @WOLZT,

Unfortunately we cannot tell you more on this as, after they’ve made their internal investigation, Spotify will only share with us the barcodes of affected releases and the period where the stream boosting was detected. They don’t tell us anything on where the streams came from or how they managed to detect such activities.

Once we receive this data from Spotify, we will send you an email with all the steps needed to clear the situation, so if you haven’t received anything from us regarding this matter please be patient as it means that we haven’t received any clear instructions from Spotify yet.

Best regards,

PS: If you want to have access to phone support, you need to be subscribed to our AMPLIFY+ or AMPLIFY Pro plan.

Hi @Carlos,

Thank you for your feedback but something is not clear in your answer.

Have you asked Spotify to start an internal investigation or is it automatic? Or do I have to do something? They asked me to contact you and have not launched anything on their side following my exchange with them.

Also, what is the estimated delay? So that I don’t have to follow-up unnecessarily too often.

Regards,

WØLZT

@WOLZT no this is all Spotify’s initiative, we just share with you what they communicate to us. For now you don’t have to do anything, we need to receive a confirmation from them with the barcodes of the affected releases, the time period where the stream-boosting was detected and the amount of penalties.

For now we haven’t received anything from Spotify regarding this, so you just have to be patient until we do. No need for you to follow-up, you will be informed in due time once we have all the information.

Best regards,
