I have a release through IMusician and its missing from The UAE region and others, while on other platforms it is available in the UAE, any solution to this?
Unfortunately territorial restrictions are applied by DSPs idependently from the distributor. We cannot prevent that @ABYSS.
Best,
Hi,
I followed your advice and contacted Apple directly. As you can see from the attached response, Apple has confirmed that THE ARCHIVES is not currently visible in the UAE and has explicitly referred me back to my distributor, as this requires the distributor to investigate and communicate with Apple directly.
At this point, I’m being sent back and forth between Apple and iMusician, while the issue remains unresolved.
I need this to be escalated to iMusician’s distribution/delivery team for investigation with Apple. Apple has made it clear that they require the distributor’s involvement, so referring me back to the DSP again will not resolve the issue.
Please escalate this internally and have the appropriate team investigate the UAE territory status and liaise directly with Apple to determine what is preventing the release from being made available.
Apple case number: 102969096406.
Please confirm once this has been escalated.
Thanks.
Hey @ABYSS,
Your release was delivered worldwide to all DSPs, including the UAE region. If your music is not available there, that’s a regional restriction applied by the platform.
This is not something we can prevent as a distributor.
Best,
I understand that iMusician delivered the release to all regions. However, that does not resolve the issue I am raising.
Apple has confirmed that the release is not visible in the UAE and has specifically instructed me to contact my distributor because further investigation requires the distributor to provide information directly to Apple.
So the question is no longer whether iMusician delivered the release to the UAE. The issue is why, despite that delivery, Apple has not made it available in the UAE.
I have already contacted Apple and they have referred the matter back to you. Simply telling me again that this is a DSP issue leaves me in a loop where neither party is investigating the actual problem.
I am therefore requesting that this case be escalated beyond the forum/support level to the team responsible for Apple Music deliveries and DSP relations. They need to raise the missing UAE availability with Apple and determine why a release that iMusician confirms was delivered worldwide has not been made visible in that territory.
Apple case: 102969096406.
Please escalate this internally rather than referring me back to Apple again, as Apple has explicitly stated that the next step requires action from the distributor.
I already told you that, as a distributor, we cannot resolve this situation. The regional restriction is applied independently from us and we cannot challenge this decision.
I understand you’re frustrated, but we simply cannot do anything about this.
I’m going to close this thread now.
Best,
