Hi,
would you be so kind to explain why as we move our 40+ record catalogue from our old aggregator to iMusician a good half of the records is missing on Apple music while being perfectly available everywhere else. The same records were on Apple for years with our old aggregator. Here is the exemple EAN 3610159553240. Officially delivered. In reality still unavailable on Apple.
Merci!
Auris
Hey @Auris,
All your releases were rejected by Apple because they contain multiple languages in the metadata. For example, EAN 3610159553240 was rejected because:
- Vol 1, Track 6: A mix of latin and non-latin characters is prohibited for the selected language.
If your releases do not align with Apple’s stylistic guidelines, they will reject them!
Excuse me but this is nonsence, please check yourself. Track 6 is in Cyrillic alphabet! No other is being used
There is a mix of latin and cyrillic alphabets on track 6.
Look, I understand that you might be disappointed, but it’s Apple’s right to reject your release if it doesn’t align with their guidelines. We cannot do anything about this as a distributor
Excusr me bot No! To, in Rusdian, means What.
You can disagree with Apple’s decision, but again that’s not something we can do anything about. If they rejected your release, we cannot force them to accept it.
I’m sincerely sorry, but there is nothing that can be done here.
Looks like it is a Robot that doesn´t speak proper Russian that defines what is right and what is wrong. There is a lettet T and a lettet o in Cyrillic alphabet! Since 9th Century!
How come all our releases were on Apple before with no problem?
Honestly, I cannot say. All I can tell you is that this is Apple’s decision and we cannot challenge it as a distributor.
The way you have formatted your metadata is not aligned with their current stylistic requirements (whether it’s a native Russian speaker or a robot that establishes this is up to them) and therefore they’ve rejected it.
Again, I’m sincerely sorry but there is nothing that we can do here.
Once again. Why this problem occurs only between iMusician and Apple? We had our catalogue with Believe until February and for 10 years not a single of our 40+ albums was rejected by Apple!
I cannot speak on behalf of other distributors, but I can confirm that your releases were rejected by Apple for the reasons I mentioned in my previous replies.
Streaming platforms update their stylistic guidelines frequently, it could be that your releases were accepted in the past but they’re no longer fitting their new guidelines.
In any case, there is nothing that we can do here I’m afraid
