One of my latest iMusician releases is not showing up on Apple Music / iTunes Store. It appears on all other digital music / streaming platforms, though. (It was previously released, so for this re-release I submitted the pre-existing UPC and ISRC info.) How do we go about this?
Thank you @Rian. Unfortunately Apple rejected your release because they detected a mix of latin and non-latin characters in the title of track n°31, which is prohibited by the store:
@Carlos Thanks for the update, It’s a rerelease of the release that until recently had already been on Apple Music since 2023 with exactly the same title. (Demo) is not in the title of the track, it’s a version category (please see the screenshot). What are my next steps?
In addition to my previous reply, can I just sincerely ask you to help me with this? This release (a Russian movie soundtrack) was the main reason I joined iMusician because you guys were one of the very few distributors that would deliver it to Russia’s digital outlets, alongside the main Apple Music, Spotify, etc. I wouldn’t want this first experience with iMusician to be remembered as a bad one, so that I could happily stay a loyal customer.
Please help me fix this, ever mindful that
I merely resubmitted all the same meta-info, which had already been submitted for this release back in 2023 and Apple Music had no issues with that for 2.5 years until I changed the distributor; and
the (Demo) bit is not part of the track title, only a category name I typed in the Version section, just like I did back in 2023 (please see the screenshot in my previous reply).
Apparently that’s what’s causing the issue because you’ve typed in this information in latin characters whilst your title (including this additional information) is supposed to be in russian characters.
Would you mind providing the cyrillic transliteration of “Demo” please?
Dear @Carlos , on a side note – a quick question about other platforms (not to overload the discussion board with extra topics from me). I’ve noticed that more than a half of my tracks, recently released through iMusician, do not show up in the sound libraries of TikTok and Instagram; plus, none of them appear in YouTube’s Add Sound search (you know, it’s when you want to add released music to your shorts, stories or reels from those platforms’ sound libraries), whereas all of the tracks do appear in Facebook’s music library when I click Add Sound and type in my artist name – they’re all there! Do these platforms have some selective approach, or is this a delivery glitch?
Going back to the previous item we spoke about (EAN 197188472023), I want to sincerely thank you for such a quick fix, because now it has appeared on my artist page at Apple Music. Thanks a lot. Yet, it’s not on the Apple Music page of the main featured artist of that release. It used to be in the Appears On section of the featured artist’s page (when previously delivered by a different distributor back in 2023). Please have a look: Ангелина Сергеева – Apple Music (My release should appear in the lower Appears On section, but it’s not there – even though I accurately selected that featured artist’s already-existing Apple Music profile during the album submission). The release does appear on all the other pages of the featured artist on other platforms, it’s only on Apple Music / iTunes Store that it’s not showing up.
Thanks for your reply, @Carlos . Yes, I know, no featured artist at the release level, because that artist is not featured in the entire album, but only in a number of tracks (please see the screenshot as an example). As already said, this album had already been released back in 2023, and back then the featured artist in question was mentioned only at the track level, just like in this case, yet the album showed up in the Appears On section of the featured artist’s Apple Music page. Interestingly, the album can be seen in the Appears On sections of the featured artist’s pages across other platforms, i.e. Spotify, Amazon, VK Music, etc. So, perhaps, it’s specifically an Apple Music related glitch that could be fixed, please?
Shops display the content according to their own specific rules (which can change overtime) so, although I understand this may be confusing since it’s not the same accross all platforms, this isn’t something we have control over.
I’m sorry but on our end there’s nothing we can do here as the release was delivered exactly as you ordered it, with the featured artists being credited on track level only. If this is how Apple decides to display the release, this is up to them not us
