I’m reaching out to get an update on my YouTube Official Artist Channel (OAC) request.
I submitted the official form through your website well before my latest release, but I haven’t received any confirmation or status update in over 30 days.
As of March 13th, my 3rd official track is now live, so all technical requirements are fully met. Since the request has been in your system for weeks, I’d appreciate it if you could finalize the process and forward it to YouTube immediately.
Artist Name: Aryan Sidhis
Latest Release Date: March 13, 2026
Welcome to the community @Barracero ! Since your 3rd track is live as of March 13th, you indeed meet all the requirements for the OAC. The team is quite busy but they usually process these requests once the technical criteria are met. Hope you get your confirmation soon!
Thanks for the confirmation, Luka! I appreciate you verifying that I meet the criteria.
Since the original request was submitted over a month ago, could you please double-check if it has already been forwarded to YouTube? I just want to make sure it doesn’t get buried in the ‘busy’ queue now that the 3rd track is live.
You’re welcome! However, I should clarify that I’m a fellow artist and community member, not a member of the iMusician staff. I don’t have access to the dashboard or your personal account to double-check the status of your request.
I’ve tagged the Team (@Andi / @Melani) so they can officially look into your OAC request now that your 3rd track is live. They are the only ones who can confirm if it’s been forwarded to YouTube.
Hope you get that confirmation soon!
Just to add to my previous message: please keep in mind that the official moderators have likely finished their day by now, so they’ll probably get back to you tomorrow morning.
In the meantime, feel free to ask me any other questions you have about the community or how things work here—I’m around and happy to help with anything related to the forum!
However, as I mentioned, I don’t have any special admin access to check the status of your OAC or your personal account files. We’ll have to wait for the Team’s official word on that part.
YouTube Official Artist Channel is a feature reserved to subscribers. I see that you don’t have an active subscription, so your request won’t be unfortunately processed.
You should’ve received an email from our YouTube team.
Thanks for your understanding.
I’m a bit confused, though. When I paid for my release on the platform, the system allowed me to fill out and submit the OAC form as part of the process.
If this feature is strictly for subscribers, why is the form open for artists paying for a single release?
Also, I haven’t received any email from the YouTube team (checked my inbox and spam), so I’ve been waiting for over a month with no news. It’s frustrating to find this out only now.
I just saw Maurizio’s official confirmation above. It confirms that the OAC is indeed restricted to subscribers.
However, @Barracero, I still think your point about the interface is very valid. The platform should ideally hide or ‘gray out’ the OAC form for non-subscribers to avoid this kind of confusion in the first place. Thanks for bringing this up, as it’s a great suggestion for the tech team to improve the user experience!
We’re aware of this and we’re working towards changing that. In your case, the request has not been forwarded to YouTube since, as @Maurizio said, this feature is reserved to paid subscribers.
