Procedure to migrate from iMusician to another distributor

Hello iMusician Team,

I’m Francisco Cifuentes, head of the label Zyfu Music, and I currently have a release distributed with you.

I would like to request your written consent to transfer my label profile on Beatport to my new distributor.

Beatport requires that the current distributor (iMusician) expressly authorize the transfer of the label profile. I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide this consent directly to Beatport or the new distributor, following the usual procedure.

Relevant Information:

  • Label: Zyfu Music
  • Artist: ZYFU
  • Active Release: “Isla Bonita”

If you need any additional information from me, I will be happy to provide it. Thank you in advance for your collaboration.

Hey @ZYFU,

If you’re switching your label from iMusician to another distributor, the process is the following:

  1. Your new distributor needs to make a request to us via Beatport and Traxsource to transfer your label.
  2. Once we receive the request, we will approve the transfer and complete the label switch, enabling your new distributor to start distributing music on your label page.

Please inform your new distributor and we’ll take care of it once they’ve made the request :+1:

So my new distributor needs to make a formal transfer request through Beatport and Traxsource?
For the other stores, nothing needs to be done?

Exactly. For the other shops, you only need to arrange a full takedown with your previous distributor (we cannot distribute content if it’s already online).
