I wish to distribute once more music which I distributed with Distrokid but taken down.
I do not posses of the ISRC codes of the 2 songs EP and the reason I took it down was because I didnt get the royalties for it with the plan I had back then. Now with iMusician Amplify I want to redistribute them.
Can I simply send those songs once again and do not declare them as being previously released ? Ido not have access to that Distrokid account but if really needed I will research and try to get access to it to see rather the information and ISRC codes are still on it there.
My only wish right now is for it to be on air and sent through my imusician amplify account, and that the music will be streamable again.
hi @Uzimillian , you can distribute them as previously released , without the ISRC codes you will simply loose your your stats and playlist placement of the songs but they will be online and streamable again
I seem to have written the ISRC codes of the seperate tracks on the side before taking it off from the old distributer (trzing to be organized I suppose).
But I did not write the ISRC of the album it self.
How would you recommend doing it in this case ?
ISRC codes are only attributed to individual tracks, not to the whole album. The album has a UPC/EAN barcode (it’s a different identification code) attached to it. You can find more on this here.
To answer your question, it depends on whether or not you would you like to keep your previous streams
@Carlos thanks for the information
Yes - keeping a count of previous streams and potentially having the same targeting to thise who previouslylisten or added these teacks to their playlists would be preferable.
When being asked about the speaific previously released date - I can not exactly recall the month but know it was in 2020 would that be enough to mention ?
Then in that case you need to re-use the ISRCs you’ve collected from Distrokid (when you create your order, you will see a dedicated field for each track).
Regarding the original release date, you will need to indicate the day, month and year
