Release not showing in Spotify’s Upcoming Releases

Hello,

I’m reaching out regarding an issue with an upcoming album release.

The album was submitted over a week ago and is already visible in my Apple Music for Artists dashboard. However, it still does not appear in the Upcoming Releases section of Spotify for Artists.

Before opening this ticket, I double-checked the release metadata and confirmed that the Spotify Artist ID used in the submission is correct.

I’ve also noticed, through the iMusician forum, a long history of similar cases where Spotify either assigns the release to the wrong artist profile or creates a new artist entry altogether. Given that history, I’d like to proactively confirm that everything is correctly linked on Spotify’s side and that no artist mismatch has occurred.

The one spotify provided is 3HEh8pGr7EqX8FmWsjFYih. Don’t know why they used that one.

Is possible to request that change?

We’ll try to send them a request to correct this, but I cannot guarantee it’ll be done in time for the release. Usually this takes 1-2 weeks to be effective.

Thanks @Carlos . please do. I don’t mind postpone the release to ensure it goes to the right artist

I’ve sent the request, let’s see if it works!

This won’t postpone the release though. Worst case scenario they just won’t make the change in time (or at all) and we’ll have to send a new request when the release goes live on the wrong profile.
