In my releases published through iMusician, I am not receiving any payments from my rights management entity (SGAE Spain). However, other tracks distributed with different aggregators, with approximately the same number of plays, do report earnings for me as an author through this management entity. I have a question: should the digital distributor be reporting the plays to SGAE, or is it my responsibility to claim them? Thank you!
Hello @GuitarRec
For the musicians of iMusician the revenue of the platform are paid and displayed on your dashboard.
But I tag the member of iMusician support to confirm you this (@Maurizio and @Carlos).
Have a good we
As I explained in the question, I am referring to the royalties received by the collecting societies. Not the streaming royalties. I look forward to the answer, thank you so much!
Hello @GuitarRec
Always good to give more info in this forum when a question is asked than it can be faster when the expert support team of iMusician answer
Hey @GuitarRec,
That’s because we, as a distributor only collect your master royalties which are linked to the reproduction (streams, downloads, etc.) of your recordings.
Anything that relates to your songwriting credits is taken care of by the collecting society and we are not involved in this as a distributor
ok, thanks for the info. Regards.
