Some questions and your experience with "editorial pitching" vs. "selfmade" Spotify for Artis pitching

Hi guys,

does anyone have any experience which way is more succesful?
I mean, I - or probably everyone of us - have in mind the specific Spotify playlists we would like to be added to…but can we be sure, that the iMusicians editors also have the same ones in their minds…?

Do the iMusician editors have “special contacts” to spotify editors, so that their chance is better than ours to be heard?

Do the iMusician editors have any realistic interest of supporting a song when they don’t earn any commision through this (when song owner is using Amplify+)?

And why isn’t it “allowed” to do the Spotify for Artist pitching in addition to the editorial pitching?

Thank you guys in advance,
Rob

Hello @Robbey

On my side, I have many requests but little songs are added to playlists. It must be good for the curator, and also in the current mood of the playlist - that’s not always easy…

I continue to try pitching iMusician playlists and sometimes Spotify for Artist pitching for other songs.

I think all the curators wishes more support of fans to select their playlists.
