Hoping I can get some help here. I was scrolling through my personal YouTube channel via YouTube studio looking for something. I saw that one of my videos had a copyright claim on it… But it is MY ORIGINAL SONG! I dig in, and it shows me the song and artist and that the copyright claim was done by IMusician. My song is from March of 2022, and the other person released it on this platform in December of 2022. I have all the projects files, original tracking, edits and everything to prove that it is my song and stolen from the person who uploaded it through here. They even put their own vocals over the top of MY song. I have disputed the copyright through YouTube, but it clearly states that if IMusician says no, that my YouTube channel can be taken down, which is not fair to me. Even my drumming practice video that I uploaded for it was uploaded in April, which is 9 months before this other person released it through imusician…
This is extremely frustrating, and trying to figure out what other steps I can take. If this person is making money on it…i want everything that has been made on it, and I don’t want them to be able to use it. It’s unfair to me and fraudulent, and its a song I worked hard on creating. Any help is appreciated.
