Stolen song uploaded under your distributor

Hello, we’re Ofive Sounds and we run a company Ofive LLC.

A few months ago, we received a copyright claim of a song that WE made and uploaded on YouTube. It seems someone took the audio and uploaded it through the distribution service. Here are the links to the video:

(had to split the link because this software does not allow me to add two links)

I’m attaching the copyright claim too.

Please, remove the song from your catalog.
Thanks,
Ofive team.

hi @Ofive I’m forwarding this to @Carlos from the Team :v:

Hello @Ofive,

Please submit a copyright removal claim if you consider that this content is an infringing on your copyright. We’ll only be able to take action if a formal claim is filed first.

Hello Carlos, I’m not sure how I should fill the form as the title is “Request video elimination”. It seems this form is to request a video deletion but I want to remove the copyright claim of a song that we made and was stolen from us, releasing it through your music distributor.

Following up on this @Carlos @Andi

Please contact YouTube directly if you need help filling out the form

Hello @Carlos @Andi , you answer is not being helpful to be completely honest with you.

I have contacted YouTube and they told me I have to “oppose” to this copyright claim through the “copyright claim” section in the YouTube video. Not the form you mentioned.

I have already submitted this claim and the person has 30 days to reply. However, as the distributor, I would like to receive a better answer from your side, as we have everything to take this song down because it does not have the rights to release it as song on the streaming platforms.

Following up on this. @Carlos @Andi

hi @Ofive and @Carlos , maybe it’s just a question of whitelistening the song?

Opposing the copyright claim is not the same as filing a copyright removal claim. One cancels the claim and allows you to continue monetizing your content, the other allows you to request the content to be removed from YouTube.

Since you’re asking for the content to be removed, I’m sharing the adequate procedure with you. Unless I misunderstood your initial request of course.

Hello @Carlos , I know, however, they told me that form is for different issues, could you share the right form?

Please contact YouTube if you need further help. On our end, as I already explained, we’ll only be able to take action if a formal claim is filed first
