I am owner of a 10 years-old-album I would like to distribute digital. After uploading I get the answer «This audio file has already been used» for all tracks. What’s the problem?
Bonjour
Hey @ADLER66, as @cantheproducer informed you, this error happens because the system recognizes there is already the same audio file.
Please complete your release using the existing audio file and then you can reach out to us and we will be able to change it later.
Hope this helps and have a great day!
All the best,
Thanks @Melani lani, but the file has another name. So why does it recognize this as a duplicate ?
And adding to to my previous question, and post, I cannot use the existing audio, so I’m stuck in the distribution of the album. Could you please help there
Thanks, I finally reuse the mastered file directly from the library.
I paid now and distribution is supposed to be scheduled on April 18.
Now Could you please confirm that the album will be listed under Mr. Unread discography (with other albums) and not separate because of the collaboration with Kevin Koch ?
@revi that’ll depend on how the platforms decide to categorize the release so we cannot guarantee anything, but since there are only 2 artists it should appear on both Mr. Unread & Kevin Koch’s discographies.
Thanks Carlos, so what do you advise as config change to ensure this will be under MR unread ? Is this because I set 2 producers ?
Kevin Koch does not have any discography.
What I want to avoid is that this album will not appear appear under Mr Unread but under a new artist named “Mr Unread & Kevin Koch”.
I’m fine if this appears under Mr Unread as well as under Kevin Koch
What I want to avoid is that this album will not appear appear under Mr Unread but under a new artist named “Mr Unread & Kevin Koch”.
It won’t because you’ve credited both artists separately. As I told you, most likely it will appear under Mr. Unread and Kevin Koch’s respective discographies (an artist profile will be created for Kevin Koch).
