URGENT: Release assigned to the wrong artist profile despite selecting "This artist doesn’t exist on Spotify"

My release “Me Gustas” published under the name “Montana” has been incorrectly assigned to the wrong artist profile on Spotify and other streaming platforms.

I specifically selected the option “This artist doesn’t exist on Spotify” when placing the order, yet the release was still linked to an existing artist profile that has nothing to do with me.

This needs to be corrected immediately.

Please take the following actions:

  1. Create a new artist profile for Montana.
  2. Reassign the release to this new, correct profile.

Here is the relevant information:

  • Release date: May/09/2025

Our song: https://open.spotify.com/intl-es/track/4I9KyYGfsThwXILgCerlHg?si=36c1942d374941c9

This situation is damaging to my project’s visibility and brand identity. I expect this to be resolved as soon as possible. Let me know once the correction is done or if you need anything else from my side.

Hey @aldonunezg,

The request was forwarded to Spotify, Deezer, Apple and YouTube. It’ll take the shops 2-3 weeks to move your release to new artist profiles.

Tidal: The link you’ve provided seems incorrect (the artist name doesn’t match and your release isn’t displayed in the discography).

Amazon Music: You must make the request yourself: FAQs - Amazon Music for Artists

:warning: Your artist name is very generic, therefore it’s hard for streaming platforms to attribute your music correctly because of the many homonyms that already exist. If you want to avoid this issue, it’d be wise to consider another artist name that isn’t already taken by other people!
