Hey, so im kinda lost now. I really want to release House / Techno Covers of various songs, but in the FAQ section is written, that you cannot change the genre?

ALOT of covers, which completly change the genre.
Could i change the genre when i aquire a mechanical license form songfile.com?

If you change the original arrangement of a track, it’s no longer a cover but an edit. In order to distribute edits, you are required to collect and present us with a mechanical license
