Apple Music still has the wrong artist name

Hey @Melani I saw you closed the conversation from earlier so I went and checked Apple Music but it’s still listed with the wrong artist name.

Did they confirm they are fixing the error?

I really need to get this fixed.

It’s been 17 more days and the artist name is wrong still. Can you just delete the track and re upload it with the right name?

Hi @Ravioli , here me back! So, our deliver team is contacting Apple Music directly to request the change, so no need to takedown the release!
The request might take up to 2 more weeks, I d advise you to monitor the situation and let us know!

It’s been 3 months and it’s my song is still listed with the wrong artist name :confused:

Apple stated to me: it isn’t possible to change the name and the remedy is for you guys to remove and resubmit the track with the correct artist name.

Could you provide a copy of the correspondences between you and Apple Music so I can file a legal request with them?

Hey @Ravioli, we’re gonna send a last request to Apple (it’s the 4th already) to make the correction. If they keep rejecting it, I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you any more with this issue.

Please remember that as a distributor we do not have control over Apple’s metadata management, therefore any conflict that you would have at this level must be adressed with them directly.
