Advice regarding migrating tracks to iMusician

Hi All

I am new here, and I am on an AMPLIFY plan. I have started migrating my music from Distrokid to iMusician. I have never migrated my music to a new distributor before, so I am just seeking advice and suggestions from any of you who have migrated to iMusician recently. I have already done a lot of research on doing a migration (e.g. Switch to iMusician from another distributor | iMusician), but I am just concerned that there might be some points I have missed.

I have successfully submitted a few of my tracks to iMusician already, as a trial run, and a number of them are in the Approved state, but have not gone live yet, as they have not reached the release dates I selected.

I am waiting for these tracks to go live so I can then check they are in YouTube, Spotify and Apple etc. in the same places where my current DistroKid tracks are live. If all looks good, then 5 days after going live I will take down those tracks in DistroKid. Never done any of this before, so I hope I will be doing this correctly.

So things seem to be going well (I hope). One thing I have never used before is YouTube Content ID, but something I came across recently, reading in this community, was putting your Official Artist Channel on the iMusician allowlist, which I have now done via iMusician support.

I am trying to be ahead of problems before they occur, so it is things like the allowlist or anything that I am hoping others in the community might be able to give me a heads-up on. So if there are any mistakes you made or issues you had doing a migration, and any instructions on how to avoid them, they would be most welcome.

Thanks for any advice or suggestions you can give. :grinning:

Hi @Melani

I thought I would just send you this follow-up on my post, “Contacting support tracking”:

I should perhaps have made it clearer that I am already on an AMPLIFY plan and have contacted support a few times, so I don’t think my original question came across quite as I intended.

My main point was that there currently doesn’t appear to be a way to track the progress of a support question. I also referred to a post from January 2026:

In that post, @Carlos mentioned: “Yeah this feature is currently unavailable due to some technical issues.”

My question was whether there is any indication of when the issue of not being able to track the progress of support questions might be resolved?

I also noticed that the post was closed shortly after my question was answered, which meant that other community members didn’t have an opportunity to indicate whether this is a feature they would also like to see made available in the near future. It also meant I could not reply to that post directly.

I hope that helps to clarify what I was asking about. Thanks for taking the time to look into it.

Hey @BryanTE,

We know that this is a requested feature and our devs are currently working on it but at the moment unfortunately there is no timeline we can provide regarding the resolution of this issue.

Best regards,
